anuboXBRL Analyzer basic - US-GAAP/ESEF

Dynamic Microsoft Excel models powered by semantic XBRL links

What you can do

Add dynamic analysis & Semantic Power to your spreadsheets.
Each cell becomes linked to its original XBRL concept, period, and dimensions — enabling recalculation across companies and reporting periods & much more.

  • Easily upload your own iXBRL report (ZIP file) for instant processing and analysis.
  • Dynamic cell-to-XBRL binding for semantic-linked analytics
    • Multi-report analysis
    • Time series
    • Model your KPIs once—recalculate instantly for any company or period.
  • Store multiple XBRL reports in your personal cloud  (up to 100 reports) workspace and access them simultaneously from your Microsoft Excel finance models for seamless multi-company and multi-period analysis.

Upload your iXBRL ZIP (US-GAAP or ESEF/IFRS) — other taxonomies are not supported.

How it works

Step 1 – Get your Analyzer license.

Go to the pricing page, choose your Analyzer edition, and click “Subscribe now”. If you already use the Reader, no reinstallation is required—the same add-in will automatically provide Analyzer features once your license is active.

Step 2 – Pick a company & report.

Get filings from public sources, for example:

Step 3 – Upload your ZIP and insert data into Excel.

Upload your ZIP (US-GAAP or IFRS/ESEF) or start with the included demo datasets, then insert items, sections, or full tables into your worksheet.

Who is it for?

  • For anyone who wants to apply KPI definitions and full financial models across additional periods and companies by simply changing parameters.
  • If your set of companies and filings is manageable, uploading XBRL/iXBRL files is sufficient—ideal for investment professionals, finance teams, and researchers—no XBRL expertise required.

Upgrade path

  • Skip manual uploads → connect directly to ANUBO’s curated XBRL databases (US-GAAP, ESEF/IFRS).
  • Faster access & refresh → higher throughput than file-based workflows.
  • Advanced XBRL analytics

… then upgrade to anuboXBRL Analyzer classic (Q2 2026).

Requirements & Install

anuboXBRL Analyzer basic is planned as a Microsoft Excel add-in distributed via Microsoft Marketplace. The following platforms are targeted for full support at release:

  • Microsoft Excel for Windows (Microsoft 365) – Full functionality
  • Microsoft Excel for Mac (Microsoft 365) – Full functionality
  • Microsoft Excel for the web – Full functionality
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows (Office LTSC 2024 / LTSC 2021) – Full functionality
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows (Office 2019, perpetual) – Supported via Credential Login. Office 2019 update must be up to date.

The recommended approach depends on whether you are already using the Reader.

If you are already using the Reader:

  • Simply upgrade to an Analyzer license in your ANUBO account
  • No reinstallation is required — the same add-in will automatically provide Analyzer features once your license is active.

If you have not used the Reader before:

  • Go to https://anubo.com/pricing, choose your Analyzer edition, and click “Subscribe now”.
  • The process includes:
    1. Quick registration
    2. Automatic installation via Microsoft links
    3. Opening the add-in directly in Excel

No manual setup is required. The process works in most Microsoft 365 environments. If your organization restricts add-ins, your Microsoft 365 administrator may need to enable the ANUBO add-in.

FAQ

Not difficult at all. In most cases you won’t edit formulas by hand. Instead, you use guided wizards: select the company report, reporting period, and date range, and the add-in builds the function for you. Using the same wizards, you can just as easily change the formula parameters—for example, switch the company, adjust the report’s end date, or change the reporting window within the selected filing. Power users can still adjust parameters manually—the structure is intuitive. No XBRL expertise required.
