The anuboXBRL Reader & Analyzer Add‑in ships with some demo reports (IFRS and US‑GAAP) so you can start exploring right away. If you analyze other company reports, simply upload iXBRL files into the add‑in.
Manual download vs. integrated retrieval:
Source: SEC Company Search (EDGAR).
How to download a report
Open the SEC’s Company Search and enter the company name or ticker.
Choose a report (e.g., 10‑K or 10‑Q).
If you see Interactive Data, XBRL data are available — click Interactive Data (this is the SEC’s term for the machine‑readable disclosure).
In the displayed report, click the yellow 10‑K or 10‑Q button in the top‑left corner.
Open the Menu (top‑left) and choose Save XBRL ZIP file.
In the anuboXBRL Analyzer, upload the downloaded iXBRL ZIP to begin analysis.
Tip: SEC filings often include multiple reporting periods. Make sure to select the version that matches your desired quarter or year. Add this information to the filename—e.g., include company, form (10‑K/10‑Q), fiscal period (year/quarter), and period end date (e.g., acme_10-q_fy2024_q2_2024-06-30.zip)—to simplify uploads and selection in the Analyzer.
