Open Source & Third-Party Notices

June 3, 2026

The anuboXBRL Add-in and the related backend services use various open-source, third-party, and XBRL-related components to analyze, validate, display, and technically process XBRL and Inline XBRL reports.

For server-side XBRL processing, we use Arelle, an open-source XBRL processor.

Arelle includes and uses additional open-source components with their own copyright and license notices. The license and notice files of the specific Arelle version used are authoritative.

Depending on the report type and analysis function, we use Arelle plugins to process Inline XBRL documents and OIM data, including:

  • Inline XBRL Document Set (inlineXbrlDocumentSet), to process single or multi-document Inline XBRL filings and report packages.
  • Save Loadable OIM (saveLoadableOIM), to output XBRL data in OIM/xBRL-JSON formats.
  • Load From OIM (loadFromOIM), where OIM/xBRL-JSON or xBRL-CSV data is imported and further processed.

These plugins are part of, or extensions to, the Arelle environment and are subject to the license and notice terms of the specific Arelle version or plugin used.

For the analysis of SEC- and US GAAP-related Inline XBRL filings, SEC- and EDGAR-related Arelle components may be used, including:

  • SEC Inline Transforms or EDGAR/transforms, to evaluate SEC-specific Inline XBRL transformations.
  • EDGAR, EDGAR/validate, or EFM validation components, to analyze and validate SEC filings under EDGAR Filer Manual-related rules.

SEC-related plugin components may include content provided by or for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. For data and content created by employees of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission within the scope of their employment, the notice applies that such data and content are not subject to domestic copyright protection under 17 U.S.C. 105.

Individual Arelle integrations or modifications may additionally be subject to open-source licenses such as the Apache License, Version 2.0, or other plugin-specific terms. “EDGAR” is a trademark of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

For rule-based XBRL analysis and validation, XULE and rule sets based on XULE may be used, including DQC, FERC, or custom analysis and validation rules.

XULE is provided by XBRL US. XBRL US publishes additional license, patent, and intellectual property notices for XULE and certain XBRL US materials. These notices apply to the extent such components, rule sets, or materials are used.

For FERC-related analysis, XENDR, FERC Renderer, FERC validation rules, rendering templates, or other FERC-related materials may also be used. In the anuboXBRL context, these components are used to analyze, validate, or display XBRL data; they are not intended, unless separately indicated, as tools for the production or submission of regulatory XBRL filings.

For the analysis and validation of certain regulatory filing programs, additional Arelle validation plugins and rule sets may be used, including:

  • ESEF (validate/ESEF) for European ESEF/IFRS reports.
  • HMRC-related validation functions for UK XBRL filings.
  • CIPC-related validation functions for South African XBRL filings.
  • Other filing-program-specific validation plugins, where corresponding reports are analyzed.

In this context, taxonomies, validation rules, filing manuals, labels, linkbases, or other materials from the applicable issuers or standard setters may be processed, including materials from ESMA, IFRS Foundation, HMRC, CIPC, FASB/FAF, SEC, FERC, XBRL International, or XBRL US.

The respective license, copyright, usage, and liability notices of those issuers apply to the extent such materials are used or redistributed.

Where the Add-in or a browser-based viewer displays Inline XBRL reports interactively, the Arelle iXBRL Viewer may be used.

The Arelle iXBRL Viewer includes additional JavaScript components with their own license notices. Depending on the Viewer version used, these may include components such as chart.js, jQuery, lunr, moment, webpack, and other dependencies. The license and notice files of the specific Viewer version used are authoritative.

When XBRL or Inline XBRL reports are analyzed, publicly available taxonomies, linkbases, labels, validation rules, rendering templates, or other materials from the applicable issuers may be loaded, cached, and processed.

To the extent such materials are loaded or evaluated only server-side for report analysis, they are not distributed as part of the Add-in. If taxonomy packages, rule sets, templates, viewer files, or other third-party artifacts are distributed to users, executed in the browser, or made available for download, the respective license, copyright, and usage notices of the applicable issuers also apply.
